He was very patient with me when I had to deal with my twins crying for milk. I had to make him wait on few occasions and he was very respectful about space that I needed in order to deal with my newborns. He never once complained about how long he had to wait. 2) Knowledge: he clearly knew his craft. He pointed out minute differences in hinges and shapes of nuts that told him how old the door was. He very quickly diagnosed the problem and recommended some solutions up and down the cost range. I had several contractors before him and they never took time to explain why my door was in a bad shape because they did not want to waste their time by writing it down for me. He did not care that I was Deaf so we had to write back and forth. I had so many questions and he took his time to write down. 3) Cost: The cost of the service call was very reasonable and the value I got out of it was great 4) Follow up: I had a VERY minor problem on my door, I called him – an hour later, he showed up and looked at the problem. When my Dad told me the roof vents on his house had blown off, I called several companies to get repairs done. You rearranged your schedule so you could give him an estimate the same day I called. That was especially helpful as that was a day when I usually come from Waynesboro, PA to help my 85 year-old Dad at his home and visit my Mom in the nearby nursing home. (One of the other companies I called, made an appointment for an estimate for 10 days later. Another who promised a return call had not done so several days after your visit.) You kindly said that when you were on your way to Dad’s, you would call me at the nursing home so I could meet you at Dad’s to discuss the repairs. And when I missed your call, you waited with Dad until the nursing home staff tracked me down and I got to his house. When you inspected the roof, you found a couple of other minor problems (deteriorated flashing around vents) that needed fixing, but conservatively advised Dad that he could wait a while before you would suggest a replacement of his 17 year-old roof shingles.
