ENERGY STAR® qualified windows and patio doors,
which meet or exceed the criteria established by the
U.S. Department of Energy for each of the climate
zones, may qualify for a tax credit under part of the
legislation known as H.R.8 – American Taxpayer
Relief Act of 2012. Qualifying product criteria shall
be those that meet ENERGY STAR criteria in the
climate zone in which they are installed. Products
shall qualify for the aforementioned energy-
efficient, home improvement incentives that allow
for a tax credit of 10% of the cost of the qualifying
windows to a maximum of $200 per household and
patio doors to a maximum of $500 per household for
2012/2013. Note: There is now a lifetime limit of
$500 ($200 for windows/skylights) in total credits that
a homeowner can claim from January 1, 2006 to
December 31, 2013. It is not on top of the $1,500
limit in 2009-2010. The cost of installation may not
be included.

Program. The Gold Certification is AAMA’s highest level of testing with windows
and doors being tested for air, water and structural integrity, while the standard
AAMA silver label is only required to test for air and water.
The manufacturer's Product Development Center is an ATI-certified lab site that
enables our manufacturer to perform thorough, in-house structural and thermal
testing. An AAMA gold label certifies that the units assembled on the production
lines are using the same process and components as the unit that was tested.
Only the AAMA Gold Label indicates that:
